knightd68 This really is a beautiful record. If you read the words explaining it's coming from a dark place, but it has a feel of light at the end of the tunnel to it. Musically this is far from a bleak drone. I bought all of HSPs discography today in a deal and I've been getting through them, but taking in a track or two from each LP. I'm coming to the last couple of mins of last track now and this is first LP I've played in entirety since this morning's purchase. Wonderful;)

City Of Dawn is a Ambient / Soundscape drone project based in McAllen, Texas. The project behind it is Damien Duque.

'Elapsed' tells a story of sounds about how time that is involved around us keeps in a pacing speed even as our skin slowly aging and how life is mysterious. In dedication from a childhood friend of mine who passed away had struck me in shock and no words to explain. Greeting a person you once encountered or known for a long time and the next day they are no longer here with us. It makes a realization that life is too short, and too short to dwell on absurd situations when things you love or to cherish little moments is right in front of you if you hold on, find it and let it go. This record is about shattering, Loss, put things back together, gathering all thoughts, absorbing the feeling, and breathe and reverence for quiet. It’s things of recovery I’m basically dealing with mental health such as occasional Anxiety & Depression. These types of relationship helps create immersive quietness soundscapes with neo-classical drone elements. It was written and recorded during those times and the elapsed of life.
